Order Entered: The request of Lovelaceville to abandon its facilities is granted, subject to ordering paragraph 2. 2. Lovelaceville shall continue operating until February 2, 2015. 3. Lovelaceville shall notify the Commission when the abandonment has occurred and shall identify the steps taken to discontinue service and secure remaining facilities, and shall include in its next customer billing a notice that the system is to be shut down on February 2, 2015. 4. No later than April 1, 2015, Lovelaceville shall submit separate Gross Reports and Annual Reports for the calendar year ending December 31, 2014, and for the period spanning January 1, 2015, through the date of abandonment.

Notice of public hearing to customers of Lovelaceville Water Company

Order Entered: A hearing on the request of Lovelaceville Water to abandon its facilities shall be held on Wednesday, September 17, 2014, beginning at 10:00 a.m. Eastern Daylight Time, in Hearing Room 1 of the Commission's offices at 211 Sower Boulevard, Frankfort, Kentucky, for the purpose of hearing evidence in this case. 2. Public comments on the proposed abandonment may be tendered via video conferencing on Wednesday, September 17, 2014, beginning at 9:00 a.m. Central Daylight Time at the Kentucky Department of Highways, District One office, at 5501 Kentucky Dam Road, Paducah, Kentucky. 3. Pursuant to 807 KAR 5:001, Section 9(2), Lovelaceville Water shall serve notice of the hearing's date and time to its customers no less than 14 days prior to the date of the hearing. Lovelaceville Water shall provide a copy of the notice to the Commission on or before the date of the hearing. 4. Pursuant to KRS 278.360 and 807 KAR 5:001, Section 9(9)(a), the record of the formal hearing in this matter shall be by videotape.

Order Entered: 1. This case is initiated to investigate the request by Lovelaceville Water to abandon its utility services and facilities. 2. A telephonic conference call shall be held in this matter on Wednesday, April 23, 2014, beginning at 1:30 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time, for the purpose of discussing the issues in this case. Commission Staff will contact all participants to provide the details for joining the conference call. 3. The Executive Director shall serve a copy of this Order upon the Attorney General.
